The catering provision within school is run by our own experienced in-house team. 

All students have a PSHE lesson at some point during the academic year in the Dining Room where they have the opportunity to be consulted on the service and provide invaluable input into the development of menus.  The students also provide ideas for theme days and weeks scheduled throughout the year. 

We currently provide morning break (10.50-11.15am) and a lunch service (1.15-2.00pm).  Also on offer is a vending machine service which is available before, during and after school, providing cold drinks, snacks and meal deals. There are two free filtered water machines available in the Dining Room and in the Covered Way area next to the vending machines.

The menus are compiled by the Catering Manager (already said this above?).  All the menus offered are compliant with the Government food based standards. The school is part of the DFE School Food Plan.  All the menus and events can be found below.

The school runs a cashless catering system which is run on a biometric or PIN system for payment of items.  No physical cash is exchanged at the point of sale.  Children’s meal accounts can either be topped up online via the ParentPay system, by pupils putting cash into a machine which is located on site or by sending a cheque into school ( payable to ‘Cartmel Priory School’).  School staff then add the cheque balance manually onto your child’s account.  Please see the download available on the biometric system for more information We display all the allergen information in the Dining Room for the students and staff to make reference to.  If you would like to discuss this matter further, please contact the Catering Manager, who would be happy to answer any questions and discuss menu alternatives if required.Alternatively, you can view the allergen information Here
