Inclusion and Belonging

Belonging

We are a school where every child is known, valued and welcomed. We celebrate the diversity of our community and work hard to ensure every student feels they belong from the moment they arrive.

SEND Support

We are committed to meeting the needs of all learners. Our SEND provision ensures that every child receives the right support, at the right time, so they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Equality and Respect

We promote equality and respect in all areas of school life. Every student is encouraged to understand and appreciate differences and to treat others with kindness and fairness.

High Expectations for All

We believe every child can achieve great things. Our high expectations apply to all students and we provide the support and encouragement needed to help each young person reach their full potential.

Student Voice

We listen to our students. Their ideas, experiences, and perspectives help shape our school, ensuring that everyone feels heard and included.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

We prioritise the wellbeing of every child. Staff are trained to support students’ emotional needs and to create a safe, nurturing environment where students feel confident to ask for help.

Community and Partnership

We work closely with families, the diocese, the South Lakes Federation, our local primary schools and the wider community to ensure every child is supported. Strong partnerships help us create a school where everyone can flourish.

Anti‑Bullying Commitment

We are committed to creating a safe, respectful environment where bullying is never tolerated. Students are taught how to build positive relationships and support one another.

Inclusive Curriculum

Our curriculum reflects the diversity of our world and ensures all students see themselves represented.  We aim to broaden horizons, challenge stereotypes and promote understanding.
