Request for Extended Leave of Absence

Holidays should not be taken during the school term and will not be authorised unless in exceptional circumstances. To request leave of absence in term time parents/carers should fill in the form below. 

Please note that the Government’s attendance expectation threshold for all pupils is 96% or above over the school year. Both national data and our school data support that high attendance to school is linked to increased academic attainment and progress. It is vital, for continuity of learning, that attendance remains high.  

The local authority will issue fixed penalty notices to parents in line with new Department for Education attendance guidelines. This will be considered when a student has missed 10 or more sessions (5 days) for unauthorised reasons. This includes unauthorised holidays.
